If you’ve always wondered what lies beneath the surface, now’s the time to find out. Start the journey of a lifetime with the Open Water Diver course. It will change you forever.

In the Open Water Diver course, your instructor will teach you the basics of Scuba Diving and the operation of all of the Scuba gear that you will be using. You will complete Confined Water Training sessions(in a swimming pool) before progressing to the Open Water for your final four Certification dives. Our highly skilled staff will be there to guide you through the hows and whys of diving. Our goal is to take you from beginner to a highly capable and competent diver during the course. We will do everything in our power to ensure that your experience culminates in a life long love of diving and all its great adventures. Our passion for the sport and our desire to share that with you will be evident from the start.

You will begin with home study using web based training and then progress to your Classroom and Pool instruction.  The Home Study program must be completed prior to the Classroom phase.  All fees for materials are paid directly to PADI and are not included in the tuition.  During the classroom phase your instructor will be providing you all of the detailed information about diving and all the required skills that you will need to become a safe and competent diver.  We will then ensure you are fully qualified in the pool before sending you to Open Water to complete your course.  There are three(3) pool sessions for two(2)hours each for a total of six(6) hours of Confined Water training.  A pool fee will be assesed depending on the pool in use for that specific class and is not included in the tuition.

Earning your Open Water Diver certification is just the beginning. As a certified diver, fabulous dive destinations, exciting people, unparalleled adventure and uncommon tranquility await you. And, as you continue your adventure and gain experience through higher training levels, your opportunities will expand.

Pricing Considerations

We at Aquanautics know that value is always a consideration for our customers.  With that understanding we have tried to simplify our pricing while still giving you the flexibilty to train according to your schedule. In your small group class you will have many more hours of instructor interaction than you do in most other programs.  We also do not provide personal gear where other shops might.  We have learned over the years that a proper fitting mask and fins do the most to ensure your dive is comfortable and fun.  We encourage you to look at all the costs associated with any course you are interested in and if you have any questions on the pricing please feel free to contact us.  We look forward to providing you the highest quality training available at the best possible value.  Please see our Terms and Conditions for refund/cancellation policies.
