If you’ve always wondered what lies beneath the surface, now’s the time to find out. Start the journey of a lifetime with the Open Water Diver course. It will change you forever.

It is time for your last four dives! Our highly skilled staff will be there to guide you through the last part of your open water certification. Our goal is to create a highly capable and competent diver during the course. We will do everything in our power to ensure that your experience culminates in a life long love of diving and all its great adventures. Our passion for the sport and our desire to share that with you will be evident from the start.

Open Water certification consists of four(4) dives done over two(2) days at one of the Open Water venues available to us.  At this time we use Fantasy Lake Adventure Park in Wake Forrest N.C.  We oocasionally use Lake Phoenix in VA if the class make up allows   The quarries are between 4 and 5 hours from the shop.  This will require an overnight stay for most students.  There are hotels, camp grounds and AirBnBs nearby for lodging.  Open Water Certification classes generally begin at 9am each morning and conclude around 3pm each day.  We will provide all the needed equipment with the exception of Mask, Fins and Snorkel.  Additional costs are associated with the quarry such as entry fees and airfills.  Prices will vary slightly depending on the venue chosen by the instructor for that weekend.

Earning your Open Water Diver certification is just the beginning. As a certified diver, fabulous dive destinations, exciting people, unparalleled adventure and uncommon tranquility await you. And, as you continue your adventure and gain experience through higher training levels, your opportunities will expand.

Pricing Considerations

We at Aquanautics know that value is always a consideration for our customers.  With that understanding we have tried to simplify our pricing while still giving you the flexibilty to train according to your schedule. In your small group class you will have many more hours of instructor interaction than you do in most other programs.  We also do not provide personal gear where other shops might.  We have learned over the years that a proper fitting mask and fins do the most to ensure your dive is comfortable and fun.  We encourage you to look at all the costs associated with any course you are interested in and if you have any questions on the pricing please feel free to contact us.  We look forward to providing you the highest quality training available at the best possible value.  Please see our Terms and Conditions for refund/cancellation policies.
